Educational Objectives: After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to: Describe the basic physiology of the endocannabinoid system; Describe the pharmacology, toxicology, and side effects of medical cannabis and its constituents; Apply the current knowledge base of cannabinoid medicine to clinical encounters in general practice and various specialty fields; Assess the risks and benefits of cannabinoid therapy with individual patients, based on available research, and identify good candidates for treatment; Create specific cannabis or cannabinoid treatment plans for patients.
