This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses and advanced practice nurses treating patients who are currently using or who may benefit from medical cannabis. This activity will discuss the physiology of the endocannabinoid system, the pharmacology, toxicology, side effects, risks and benefits of medical cannabis and its constituents in a variety of medical conditions.

Ohio Healthcare Professionals: At this time, Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) has not identified the educational content and the learning objectives for the 2 hours training required for certification to recommend medical cannabis. When the OSMA publishes the content and objective requirements, Extra Step Assurance (ESA) will work with the OSMA to prepare proper training for Ohio healthcare professionals. The Ohio two(2) hour training, when provided by ESA, will be free of charge for any attendee at the ESA Medical Cannabis Symposiums.
